What treasure can I expect to find?

Anything that has ever been made by human beings (or aliens)

By using a metal detector you are limiting yourself to only metallic objects (although you may dig up some objects made from other materials by accident. You are also limited by the depth sensitivity of your detector. In addition, the locations where you search may limit you to what you can find.

If you are searching in United States, you are likely to find coins made in US… On the beach, along with the coins you are likely to find some jewelry. On the sites of battles you are likely to find some remains of the Civil War. And you can always run into some gold nuggets. If you are searching in another country your finds are limited by the country's history.
